Job summary

Department of Health Victoria – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Manager, Planned Surgery Reform to lead a team delivering system-wide reform across ten reforms in the Planned Surgery Reform Blueprint. You’ll focus on timely, equitable access to best practice planned surgery for all Victorians.

Ideal candidates bring government, health sector, or policy design experience, with strong program management skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities to drive statewide reform.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management, or health administration would be desirable.
• Significant knowledge and experience in government, health sector and/or health service delivery with skills and experience in project management and implementation.
• Identifies and responds to new and emerging strategic issues impacting on the operating environment.
• Draft and develop material including Cabinet and Cabinet related material, Ministerial and Secretary briefings and meeting papers, agendas, minutes and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to team members and coordinates advice on cross-portfolio strategic policy issues and statewide reform matters.
• Leads the system-wide implementation of the Planned Surgery Reform Blueprint to improve access to timely, equitable and best practice planned surgery for all Victorians.
