Job summary

The Department of Health in Victoria is seeking a Senior Policy Officer, Planned Surgery Reform to drive the implementation of the Planned Surgery Reform Blueprint across Victoria.

You will lead the Patient Support Unit, informing and supporting long waiting patients through their planned surgery journey and same day surgery reform, while building strong relationships with government and health sector stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management, or health administration would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Patient Support Unit program to inform and support long waiting patients.
• Develop practical policy solutions and briefing products for Ministerial and senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with government and health sector bodies.
• Work across multiple projects in multidisciplinary teams to meet pressures and demands.
