Zusammenfassung

NSW Trustee and Guardian is seeking a strategic Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance to lead governance, risk, compliance and integrity across a large public sector organisation. Reporting to the Director, Legal, Governance and Risk, you will strengthen organisational resilience and accountability while driving contemporary risk practices that support performance and public confidence.

This senior leadership role is based in Sydney with hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support delivery

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading enterprise risk, governance and compliance functions.
• Knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and obligations.
• Membership of RMIA or commitment to ongoing professional development.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance to lead the organisation's enterprise approach to governance, risk, compliance and integrity.

Reporting to the Director, Legal, Governance and Risk, you will play a key leadership role in strengthening organisational resilience, building a culture of accountability and ensuring NSW Trustee and Guardian continues to meet its obligations as a high-performing public sector agency.

This is an opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation while driving contemporary risk and compliance practices that support innovation, performance and public confidence.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and evolve the enterprise risk management, compliance and integrity frameworks.
• Provide trusted strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders.
• Drive the implementation of contemporary risk, governance and assurance practices.
• Oversee fraud and corruption prevention, ethics, integrity and compliance programs.
• Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes, ensuring organisational readiness and response.
• Deliver meaningful insights through governance reporting, risk analytics and performance monitoring.
• Build strong internal and external partnerships to strengthen organisational capability and accountability.

About you

You are a collaborative and influential leader who can translate complex governance, risk and compliance matters into practical, business-focused solutions.

You bring extensive experience leading enterprise risk, governance and compliance functions within a complex and highly regulated environment and are passionate about creating strong systems that enable better decision-making and organisational performance.

You'll bring:

• Deep expertise in governance, risk management, compliance and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of NSW Government operations, public sector governance frameworks and legislative obligations.
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and driving a positive risk culture.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and advise senior executives.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and delivering organisational change.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or significant equivalent experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
