Job summary

Latrobe City Council in Morwell, Gippsland, is seeking an experienced Coordinator Building Projects and Maintenance to lead a key portfolio of buildings and aquatic facilities. This permanent, full-time role offers Band 8 remuneration and a chance to shape the long-term asset strategy for a major regional municipality.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and contracts, and drive high-quality project delivery to keep community assets safe, functional and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in capital works or building infrastructure.
• Experience delivering capital works programs within scope, time, budget and quality requirements.
• AS4000 contract administration and contractor management experience.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Projects and Building Maintenance teams with accountability and high performance.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of building and infrastructure capital works from concept to completion.
• Oversee maintenance, renewal and lifecycle management of buildings, aquatic infra, fixed plant and equipment.
• Manage operational and capital budgets, contracts, consultants and contractors to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop strategic maintenance programs and capital works plans to support asset sustainability.
• Build relationships with community groups, government agencies, contractors and internal stakeholders.
