Job summary

Latrobe City Council is seeking a strategic Coordinator Building Projects and Maintenance to lead a large portfolio of buildings, aquatic facilities and capital works across Morwell and the Gippsland region. You will steward asset planning, delivery, and lifecycle management while guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, functional assets that support the community.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline with more than five years' related experience.
• Proven project management experience, often managing projects over $2 million or programs over $5 million.
• Experience and training in AS4000 contract administration and contractor management.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex capital works.
• Commitment to child safe and inclusive workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Building Projects and Building Maintenance teams, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of building and infrastructure capital works from concept development through to completion.
• Oversee maintenance, renewal and lifecycle management of Council buildings, aquatic infrastructure, fixed plant and equipment.
• Manage operational budgets, capital project budgets, contracts and consultants to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop strategic maintenance programs and business cases to support asset sustainability.
• Build strong relationships with community groups, government agencies, contractors and internal stakeholders.
