Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Data Analyst / BI Analyst to join the Infrastructure Projects and Engineering portfolio in NSW. You will deliver data-driven insights, build dashboards, and support planning, reporting and accountability across programs and projects.

You will analyse portfolio data, provide forward-looking insights, and translate complex data into clear narratives for decision-making. Collaboration with stakeholders and ongoing analytics development are core aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with business intelligence tools.
• Capability in researching, analysing and answering complex business questions through reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic, data-driven insights to inform decision-making, enhance performance, and support planning and accountability across the Infrastructure Projects and Engineering (IPE) portfolio.
• Analyse and interpret portfolio, program and project data; provide forward-looking performance insights; develop and enhance insight products, dashboards and visualisations.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify data gaps and improvement opportunities, and translate complex datasets into clear narratives.
