Job summary

Mossop Construction + Interiors is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own the HR function, providing strategic direction while ensuring day-to-day people operations run smoothly.

You will lead and develop the HR team, partnering with senior leaders to align people practices with business objectives, legislative requirements and our culture. This role covers workforce planning, performance management and wellbeing across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of HR experience, including leading and managing teams.
• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, awards, agreements and workplace compliance.
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters, performance issues, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Ability to advise and influence managers and senior leaders, balancing business objectives with fair and appropriate people outcomes.
• Experience across workforce planning, performance management, remuneration, learning and development, employee engagement and retention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor the HR team, partnering with senior management.
• Manage employee relations, industrial relations and complex HR matters.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention and workforce planning.
• Manage performance reviews, training, development and succession planning.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, systems and employment contracts.
• Oversee remuneration structures, employee benefits and HR budgets.
• Manage workplace injuries, return-to-work processes and employee wellbeing.
• Drive employee engagement, organisational culture and inclusion initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industrial obligations and reporting requirements.
