Job summary

Downer, in Victoria, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager - Lifecycle Projects to lead upgrades and asset refreshes within a hospital PPP, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operation.

Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will develop scopes, budgets and schedules, coordinate procurement and contractors, and work with clinical and technical stakeholders to minimise disruption to patient care while maintaining asset information and governance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering engineering capital or lifecycle projects in complex operational environments (healthcare/PPP).
• Strong technical understanding of building services (electrical distribution, HVAC, fire systems, hydraulics, BMCS/BMS, medical gases, vertical transport).
• Experience in project governance, budgeting, risk management, vendor management and multidisciplinary delivery.
• Ability to communicate across clinical, technical, commercial, operational and executive stakeholders; PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or similar certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering lifecycle project portfolio with scopes, budgets, schedules and risk registers.
• Plan and deliver upgrades with outage, shutdown, isolation and staged cutover arrangements to minimise disruption to clinical services.
• Coordinate procurement, contractors, contract administration, FAT/SAT, commissioning, warranties and handover.
• Work with clinical, operational and technical stakeholders to plan safe access, sequencing and integration in a live hospital environment.
• Maintain lifecycle forecasts and asset information, reporting progress, costs, risks and compliance.
