Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Programs and Community Engagement Manager (Health Manager Level 3) to lead and innovate across Drug Health Services. The role focuses on community health outcomes, workforce engagement, and strategic library management to support DHS operations.

You will oversee two project officers and two library staff, drive complex initiatives, and work within a 38-hour week at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, contributing to NSW Health’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex projects with competing priorities and time/budget constraints.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time.
• Proven skills in personnel management and leading effective teams.
• Ability to work on a five-day roster (Mon–Fri).
• Current NSW Driver Licence (P1/P2 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Lead programs that transform lives and strengthen community health outcomes across Drug Health Services.
• Support DHS Executive team to meet targets for community and staff engagement, health promotion and handling contentious issues.
• Develop and lead a statewide Drug and Alcohol Health Services Library strategy and operations.
• Oversee projects and tasks within prescribed timeframes; supervise two project officers and two library staff.
