Job summary

Glen Eira City Council in Melbourne seeks a senior leader to head People Operations and Partnering, driving people strategy into connected HR services across recruitment, business partnering and ER/IR support.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will guide a multidisciplinary team, advance the partner model and strengthen case management to meet internal needs, while modernising services with responsible use of digital tools and AI.

Qualifications

• Experience in people operations with ER/IR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across People Operations, Recruitment, Business Partnering and Employee/Industrial Relations services.
• Translate people strategy into improved HR services and outcomes across the employee lifecycle.
• Provide authoritative guidance on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, investigations and dispute resolution.
• Promote service redesign and use digital technology, automation and AI to improve accessibility, efficiency and governance of people services.
