Uber is seeking a hands-on Leader of Local Operations in Sydney to own end-to-end strategy for a key market, manage large budgets, and drive growth and profitability.

You will collaborate across Marketing, Product, Finance and Legal, navigate local regulations, build external partnerships, and translate data insights into executive recommendations.

This is a high-impact role demanding analytical rigor, entrepreneurial mindset, and seamless execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of experience in operations, consulting, technology, or fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record leading diverse teams and delivering measurable results in a high-growth business.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with ability to build bottom-up forecasting models.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategy and execution for a specific market or consumer segment with large budgets.
• Conceive, design, and lead core growth initiatives across the funnel: awareness to loyalty.
• Navigate local regulations and market nuances to implement regional/global programs.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, fleet owners, and merchants.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to unblock barriers and enable seamless consumer experiences.
• Communicate with purpose at executive level, translating data into actionable insights.
