Job summary

Devro, a global leader in collagen products for the food industry, is seeking a Procurement Officer to support supplier relationships, identify opportunities for improvement, and participate in global procurement activities.

You will raise purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and help drive cost savings across raw materials, packaging, spare parts and consumables while tracking KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Qualification in purchasing or business administration is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with ERP and accounts receivable functions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check all purchase requisitions are filled out correctly and entered into the purchase register.
• Raise purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follow-up POs with suppliers until closed.
• Follow-up with internal stakeholders on PO status where POs are not closed, and invoices.
• Support the sourcing of goods and services to achieve optimum value.
• Support the Procurement function to achieve business goals.
• Contribute to a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs and spend control.
• Support the management of supplier contracts.
• Track, report and deliver improvement of KPI including PPV and key expense account spend variance.
• Regular monitoring and reporting of cost, quality and consumption of various procurement portfolios including raw materials, packaging, spare parts and consumables.
• Adhere to effective price and quality negotiations including the use of a tender process where appropriate.
• Provide high-quality data for procurement recommendations and decisions.
