Job summary

Brisbane Basketball Incorporated (BBI) is seeking a Dynamic General Manager to lead Queensland's premier basketball association through the next growth phase. You will drive strategic leadership, commercial growth and organisational excellence to deliver sustainable outcomes for players, clubs and communities.

Reporting to the Management Committee, you will oversee strategy execution, financial stewardship, partnerships and risk management while shaping the organisation for Brisbane 2032

Qualifications

• Senior management or executive leadership experience, ideally in sport, not-for-profit or community services.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and revenue-growth capabilities.
• Proven success in sponsorship, partnerships or revenue generation.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic/operational plans.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of the Association's Strategic Plan into measurable outcomes.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, expenditure control and revenue growth.
• Identify and secure sponsorships, partnerships, grants and other revenue opportunities.
• Lead growth initiatives to increase participation and strengthen pathways.
• Build a high-performing, accountable team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Engage government, Basketball Queensland, Basketball Australia, sponsors and other stakeholders.
• Provide governance, risk management and reporting to the Management Committee.
