Job summary

Prima PMI in Melbourne is seeking a Freight Optimisation Manager to lead and refine our multimillion-dollar freight strategy, optimizing spend, carrier partnerships and service levels.

You will direct the Logistics Coordinator and Analyst, run RFPs, develop shipping rules, analyse freight data and collaborate across teams to deliver cost savings and improved customer outcomes.

A strong Excel capability, deep market knowledge of freight providers, and proven negotiation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Analyst, driving continuous improvement across our freight function.
• Building strong relationships with carrier partners, conducting performance reviews, negotiating commercial outcomes and ensuring service levels.
• Managing RFP processes to secure best value, service and capability across the carrier network.
• Identifying innovative freight solutions that create value for customers and support growth.
• Developing shipping rules and freight strategies to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
• Auditing products and shipping specs to align with operational objectives.
• Analysing freight data to reduce costs, improve service levels and drive performance.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver strategic freight initiatives.
