Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager for a leading Melbourne-based law firm. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic planning and profitability across practice groups.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial performance drivers, profitability analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting across the firm and practice groups.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, revenue projections and profitability analysis.
• Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, risks and opportunities.
• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to support short- and long-term objectives.
• Support scenario planning, investment decisions and financial modelling for key initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, dashboards and financial presentations.
