Job summary

Perigon Group Pty Limited in Australia is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, controls, compliance and finance operations in a complex, inventory-intensive environment.

You will own the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, drive month-end processes and support the ongoing development of the finance function, with broad scope and governance.

This senior role offers influence, a proactive, hands-on approach and relocation support for interstate candidates.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Ownership of full financial statements and governance experience.
• SOX exposure is highly regarded.
• Inventory accounting in a complex operating environment.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder influence.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Drive governance, controls and compliance initiatives.
• Strengthen internal controls and support SOX requirements.
• Manage audit, statutory reporting and tax compliance obligations.
• Oversee treasury, working capital and finance operations.
• Partner with stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Drive process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Own and enhance inventory accounting, controls and reporting.
