Job summary

Perigon Group in Sydney, Australia, is a mature yet growing ASX-listed fintech with global reach. We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead statutory reporting, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and treasury accounting within a scaling finance function.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will support tax preparation, monthly management reporting and quarterly compliance.

Qualifications

Strong technical accounting background and financial operations experience.
Open to commercial candidates with fintech/payments experience is desirable but not required.
Excellent communication and change-management skills in a scaling environment.

Responsibilities

Support production of half year and year end statutory reporting.
Prepare and post manual, ad-hoc and recurring journals including accruals and prepayments.
Own the balance sheet reconciliation process.
Provide support to the Finance Manager in maintenance of the GL.
Support other business units in posting journals and investigating queries.
Carry out Treasury Accounting.
Assist the Tax Manager with direct and indirect taxes.
Prepare monthly management and quarterly compliance reporting, including cash flow statements.
Assist auditors with information requirements and explanations.
Collaborate with Financial Control team on annual regulatory audits.
