Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support business decision-making through insightful financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This full-time role is based in Perth with a 5/2 roster (Monday – Friday).

You will work closely with operational leaders, providing financial guidance and identifying opportunities for improvement. As part of the team, you will prepare monthly management reports, analyse variances, develop financial models, monitor costs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification (completed or currently working towards).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and performance commentary.
• Analyse financial results and investigate variances against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Develop financial models and cost-benefit analyses to support business cases and investment decisions.
• Monitor operational costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
• Partner with operational departments to provide commercial and financial support.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting processes, and controls.
