Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths Ltd. seeks an experienced Financial Analyst to support decision-making with insightful financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, you will work closely with operational leaders, providing financial guidance and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce.
• CPA or CA qualification (completed or pursuing).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial analysis or management accounting.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel with financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and performance commentary.
• Analyse financial results and investigate variances against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Develop financial models and cost-benefit analyses to support business cases and investment decisions.
• Monitor operational costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
• Partner with operational departments to provide commercial and financial support.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting processes, and controls.
