Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a strategic Finance leader to drive the long-term financial forecast, annual budgeting, and capital planning. You will partner with senior leaders to deliver evidence-based decisions that enhance financial performance for the community.

The role requires strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting expertise, with the ability to influence and lead teams in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Proven experience developing long-term financial forecasts, financial models and scenario analysis.
• Strong business partnering skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including developing teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Council's long-term financial forecast and drive annual budget processes.
• Provide strategic support to capital planning and investment decisions.
• Strengthen financial performance across the organisation through analytics and business partnering.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and provide trusted financial advice.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting and processes.
