Waratah Care Support Services is seeking a Finance Lead (Part-Time – 4 days per fortnight) to provide strategic financial leadership. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while supporting governance, compliance, and growth initiatives.

The role includes overseeing payroll, grant income, and funding compliance, with strong emphasis on financial analysis and process improvement. Not-for-profit environment with senior leadership collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, commerce or finance required.
• Minimum five years in financial management.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication; high integrity.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and variances.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
• Ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process.
• Develop quarterly financial forecasts and scenarios.
• Provide financial modelling for new programs and opportunities.
• Analyse trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Partner with the Manager on growth plans and business cases.
• Support long-term sustainability and process improvement.
