Job summary

Weidmüller Australia seeks a Business Controller to join the ANZ leadership team as the financial co-pilot, driving performance, supporting strategic decisions and overseeing financial operations across projects and reporting.

The role requires CPA/CA, a degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce, 10+ years in business controlling or financial leadership, and advanced SAP/Power BI skills to influence executive decisions and lead change.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Business Controlling, Commercial Finance or Financial Leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of project-based businesses and commercial environments.
• Experience within multinational organisations.
• Advanced SAP and Power BI capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to influence and support executive decision-making.
• A proactive and adaptable leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
• Develop and monitor KPIs across the organisation.
• Provide commercial support throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct variance analysis and profitability assessments.
• Prepare management, board and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory and corporate requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital performance.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and financial partners.
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate local IT governance and support with regional teams.
