Job summary

SA Water in Adelaide seeks a Senior Manager Engagement and Strategic Relations to lead one of our most strategically important functions. You will shape how SA Water engages with customers, communities, government, regulators, industry partners and Traditional Owners to build understanding and support for major investments.

Reporting to the General Manager Customer, Community and Engagement, you will provide strategic leadership across community engagement, stakeholder relations and Aboriginal

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations or Strategic Communication, or significant equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to develop and manage strategic engagement initiatives.
• Experience engaging with government partners.
• Ability to build relationships with external and internal customers and community.
• Experience engaging with First Nations peoples and driving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Foster trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice on engagement and strategy.
• Lead development, implementation and maintenance of engagement plans across external organisations and government agencies.
• Monitor external environment to anticipate risks and opportunities for SA Water.
• Develop relationships with senior external regulatory stakeholders to support SA Water’s strategic interests.
• Ensure strong strategic relationships with Traditional Owners for early and effective engagement.
• Oversee capital program engagement to plan for aboriginal engagement on major projects.
