Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior/Principal Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead technical delivery across major water and wastewater projects in South Australia and nationally. The role covers design reviews, client engagement, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, compliant and cost-effective outcomes.

Based in Adelaide, the Senior/Principal role offers a pathway to strategic leadership, with opportunities to shape major programs and partners across the water sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or related Engineering.
• CPEng or working towards chartership.
• Experience in the design and delivery of water supply and/or sewerage infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of the water industry and related infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs and technical documentation.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and technical assurance of water and wastewater projects.
• Provide specialist expertise in water supply, sewerage networks, pipelines, pump stations and treatment facilities.
• Act as Lead Engineer, Technical Authority or Independent Reviewer for designs and technical reports.
• Review and assess designs prepared by contractors and delivery partners, providing practical advice.
• Drive innovation and value-for-money through fit-for-purpose design and digital engineering.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Lead delivery from planning through to construction support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
