Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks an analytical and strategic thinker to shape emergency management policies and readiness plans. You will lead policy development, research, and evidence-based analysis to support preparedness across NSW, collaborating with government and external partners.

The role emphasizes translating complex information into practical guidance, contributing to policy lifecycle from research through to implementation, and mobilising for security and crisis incidents in a 24/7 operating

Qualifications

Analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving in policy contexts.
Experience contributing to the policy lifecycle from research to implementation.
Ability to translate complex information into clear evidence-based advice.

Responsibilities

Develop and continuously improve emergency management policies, strategies and plans through research, evidence, critical analysis and review of emerging risks.
Provide clear, evidence-based advice, recommendations and briefing materials to support decision-making and preparedness outcomes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, share expertise and contribute to coordinated emergency management policy and planning.
