Job summary

NSW State Emergency Service seeks a Planning and Research Officer to research, analyse, and develop evidence-based advice and systems across emergency risk management. You will support NSW communities with risk information and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in research, risk assessment, policy, planning, engineering, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based advice.
• Graduate or professional qualification relevant to emergency management or planning.

• Contribute to development of evidence-based emergency management advice and risk information.
• Undertake research and analyse complex information to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies strengthening risk management and preparedness.
