Job summary

Chadwick Switchboards is seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow a portfolio of customers and project opportunities across Sydney and NSW. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with clear personal sales targets, involving pricing strategy, margins, and end-to-end opportunity management.

You will read drawings, engage electrical contractors and consultants, and collaborate with Estimating to win significant projects while ensuring successful handover to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in technical, project-based or engineered-solution sales.
• Experience with electrical switchboards, switchgear, low-voltage power distribution, or related projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specifications, and single-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage your own portfolio of customers and project opportunities.
• Win new business with electrical contractors, consultants, builders and project stakeholders.
• Manage opportunities from enquiry through to quotation, negotiation, order and handover.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes to develop bid strategies for significant projects.
• Own the commercial progression of quotes including pricing, margin, qualifications and exclusions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, CRM, and forecast.
• Coordinate handovers to Engineering, Project Management and Production.
