Job summary

Abbott is seeking an experienced Demand and Supply Planning Manager in Macquarie Park, NSW to lead forecasting, inventory and supply planning across the portfolio. You will balance availability with inventory investment, freight costs and customer service, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics and global partners.

This data-driven role requires 3+ years in demand or supply planning, SAP experience, strong analytics, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, or supply chain management.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced planning, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the demand forecasting process across multiple product portfolios.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market intelligence, customer trends, and commercial inputs.
• Facilitate regular demand review meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement initiatives to improve forecasting performance.
• Identify and communicate supply chain risks, demand fluctuations, and opportunities to key stakeholders.
• Support business planning activities through the provision of forecasting analysis and insights.
• Develop and maintain supply plans that align with forecasted demand and business requirements.
• Establish, monitor, and optimise MRP parameters including safety stock levels, lead times, reorder points, and planning settings.
• Ensure product availability while balancing inventory investment and working capital objectives.
• Create and manage purchase orders within SAP and other business systems.
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up on supplier commitments to ensure timely delivery.
