Job summary

DroneShield seeks a Proposal Specialist to own select proposal responses across Australia and international defence markets, supporting regional Commercial Directors. The role may be in-office or hybrid, with at least three days per week at the Sydney HQ.

You will manage a hands-on proposal process, collaborating with sales, engineering, legal, finance, and executives to deliver compelling and compliant bids.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on technology proposal development experience, preferably defence/aerospace.
• Familiarity with ASDEFCON, defence or government procurement processes.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and structuring skills for high-quality submissions.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities to manage multiple bids with tight deadlines.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional inputs and developing compliant proposals.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of proposal responses from inception to submission, including gating reviews and compliance checks.
• Lead the writing effort across technical, management, and executive sections.
• Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts, commercial, legal, finance and engineering to deliver complete submissions.
• Establish and manage proposal plans, timelines, response matrices, and internal reviews.
• Contribute to building a library of reusable content and boilerplate for future bids.
