Marand is a leading Australian defence and manufacturing company delivering complex equipment for major defence programs. We seek a Procurement Lead to own the supply chain, ensuring cost, quality, delivery and continuity throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Defence procurement.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, project management or commercial roles within manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong supplier relationships, contract management and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Proactive mindset to identify issues and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and sourcing activities, including supplier evaluation, negotiation and selection.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned to program requirements, budgets and delivery schedules.
• Manage relationships across an established supplier network.
• Negotiate and administer supplier contracts, including changes and commercial requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
• Manage procurement planning, purchase orders and supplier commitments.
• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide clear reporting on supply chain performance, risks and supplier metrics.
