Job summary

Marand Precision Engineering, part of the ASDAM Group, seeks a Lead Engineer to own the technical delivery of complex automation projects. Qualifications

• Formal Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Current professional engineering registration.
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior engineering role.
• Strong experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.
• Experience with dynamic, complex systems in industrial/automated environments.
• Solutions-focused mindset with customer outcomes in mind.
• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to own, decide and drive projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions for automation and complex industrial applications.
• Translate customer requirements into practical, innovative and robust technical solutions.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and providing expert engineering guidance.
• Take ownership of technical scope, requirements, budget, risk and quality across engineering projects.
• Lead technical discussions and communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop engineering and design schedules and ensure designs meet customer, statutory and internal requirements.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, manufacturing and other functions.
• Produce and review high-quality engineering and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve designs, processes and engineering outcomes.
