Job summary

Hostplus is seeking a strategic Head of Controls Assurance to lead the Assurance Plan and independently assess risk management, compliance and controls across the Fund. You’ll work with senior leaders, Internal Audit and Board Committees to drive improvements and strengthen accountability.

In this role you’ll manage the Controls Assurance team, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to enterprise-wide resilience, while guiding risk papers and governance discussions for the Audit Committee

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in commerce and/or legal qualification.
• 10+ years' experience in risk advisory and controls assurance.
• Significant superannuation/financial services experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd line Assurance Plan and annual Internal Audit Plan.
• Provide independent assessment of design and operation of internal controls.
• Deliver recommendations and actions to uplift processes and strengthen the control environment.
• Support CRO Leadership Team with risk papers and governance reporting.
• Lead, coach and develop the Controls Assurance team.
