Job summary

Optus, a leading Australian telecommunications company, is seeking a Senior Program Compliance Specialist to partner with project teams to identify, track, and govern regulatory obligations, and to maintain program-wide visibility through dashboards.

You will coach project managers, identify risks, and work with stakeholders to drive consistent compliance outcomes while building compliance capability for the future.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' compliance experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
• Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and how to implement them across complex programs.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and evidence discipline.
• Exceptional communication skills – you can coach teams, challenge assumptions, and drive compliance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams across Optus to embed compliance frameworks, reviewing scope documentation to ensure regulatory obligations are identified and governed.
• Maintain central dashboards for real-time project status, linking evidence to obligations and tracking remediation actions.
• Coach project managers to apply the Standard Compliance Framework while managing overlaps, dependencies, and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to resolve conflicts in regulatory obligations and build program-wide capability.
