Auto & General is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead supplier relationship management across Motor insurance lines and own strategic supplier spend and network optimisation. The role drives world-class contract management and competitive commercial outcomes while delivering data-driven insights to improve compliance, cost control, and customer experience.

Qualifikationen

• Background in insurance or similar services industries with strong commercial acumen.
• Best practice strategic procurement, including centralisation of commercial strategies, cost savings, and the ability to negotiate business outcomes.
• Track record of driving performance through accountability, implementing operational efficiency and business process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Experience leveraging technology to solve customer and operational challenges, including digital and omni-channel strategies in large enterprise environments.
• Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and deliver business outcomes.
• Tertiary qualifications preferred; post-graduate an advantage; knowledge of financial services legislative frameworks desirable but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Oversee supplier relationships and network performance; right-size repairer and parts supplier network to align costs and customer service outcomes.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle: drafting, variations, SLAs, and commercial outcomes focusing on long-term sustainability.
• Identify and realise market and internal opportunities to create competitive advantage using sound commercial judgement.
• Lead re-engineering programs to develop a cost-effective repair service platform; utilise Symbility, Estimage, Audanet.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements while adapting to evolving commercial environments.
• Act as central liaison between Commercial Team and contract suppliers; maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide training and strategic planning support to the team on procurement, contract management, negotiations, and supplier management.
