Curtis Partnership is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join a large, complex operation in the transport, infrastructure and logistics sector in Sydney. You will partner with the MD and executive team to provide strategic financial leadership and commercial insight across the business.

The role emphasizes operating performance, budgeting, forecasting and developing a high-performing finance team, with governance and controls, while shaping strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Significant experience in a senior commercial finance leadership role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capability.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with executive and operational stakeholders.
• Proven ability to interpret financial results and communicate meaningful commercial insights.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Team to provide strategic financial advice.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term business planning.
• Deliver meaningful commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Drive financial performance through improved reporting, analysis and business insight.
• Lead and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Support commercial initiatives, contract evaluations and business improvement projects.
• Build strong relationships across operational business units to ensure finance is viewed as a trusted business partner.
