Job summary

Industry Pathways Group is seeking a Head of Commercial Finance to guide commercial performance across a growing multi-business group. You will partner with the CEO and senior leaders to shape budgeting, forecasting and strategic insights, driving profitability and cash flow.

You will build and develop the finance team, deliver robust financial modelling, governance and risk management to support growth, acquisitions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in commercial finance, management accounting, financial planning & analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect financial results with operational performance.
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and business planning.
• A genuine passion for business partnering, with the confidence to influence, challenge and support senior stakeholders.
• The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, practical insights and recommendations.
• An interest in developing people, improving processes and building stronger financial capability across a business.
• The judgement to balance commercial ambition with sound governance, risk management and financial discipline.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting, together with CPA, CA or equivalent professional accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Drive budgeting, forecasting and business planning to improve revenue, profitability and cash flow.
• Partner with General Managers and Directors to interpret performance and translate insights into action.
• Establish monthly business performance reviews with KPIs linked to operations.
• Develop financial models and business cases to assess opportunities, manage risk and guide decisions.
• Coach and develop the Finance Manager and broader finance team for governance and commercial insight.
• Oversee financial reporting, controls, cash flow, banking relationships and funding.
• Ensure corporate governance, statutory obligations and risk/compliance are maintained.
• Contribute to growth initiatives, due diligence for acquisitions, and process automation enhancements.
