Job summary

The Star Sydney is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager who will serve as a trusted adviser to the Sydney Executive Team, providing strategic commercial, financial and operational insights to drive performance and value creation.

Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with executive stakeholders to deliver commercial advice, performance insights and strategic support that enable informed decision-making and effective resource allocation across the business.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.
10+ years’ experience in financial or commercial management.
Advanced analytical and modelling capabilities using Excel and TM1.
Proven ability to lead senior stakeholders and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Provide commercial and financial advice to support strategic decisions.
Partner with senior leaders to strengthen commercial capability and financial discipline.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing commercial finance team.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive performance.
Drive revenue growth, profitability and margin improvement.
Drive process improvements across commercial finance using technology and AI.
Collaborate with Property and Finance teams to enhance reporting quality.
Lead performance reviews, benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide input into contractual and strategic initiatives.
