Job summary

ThompsonCook are seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner in Sydney with senior stakeholder exposure to join a leading global financial services organisation. This high-profile role combines commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering across multiple functions.

You will partner with senior leaders, develop insights, support budgeting and strategic planning, and lead business cases for growth opportunities. CA/CPA or equivalent and experience in financial services are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Qualified in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering.
• Experience with senior stakeholders across multiple products or functions.
• Big 4 or leading mid-tier accounting firm background preferred.
• Experience in financial services or similar large corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders, providing financial insight and recommendations to support commercial decision making.
• Support development and implementation of business strategies aligned with the organisation’s financial objectives.
• Lead financial analysis and business cases relating to new commercial opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and strategic planning, delivering high quality FP&A analysis.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Develop analytical tools and reporting to provide visibility over key commercial and financial drivers.
• Partner with broader finance teams to ensure high quality reporting and financial management.
• Provide ad hoc commercial analysis and support strategic initiatives as required.
