Job summary

Madison Hunt is assisting a PE-backed energy business in Sydney with a strategic CFO mandate.

The successful candidate will own the finance function end-to-end, work directly with the CEO and sponsor, and drive capital allocation, funding strategies and deal execution across multi-project portfolios. This is a seat-at-the-table role with significant interaction on investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of finance leadership experience in energy, infrastructure or renewables.
• Experience in PE-backed environments with sponsor reporting and value creation.
• Strong technical accounting, controls, and deal structuring knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Owns finance function end-to-end including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Oversees statutory and management reporting, tax, treasury and audit.
