Job summary

Hypersonix Inc. in Ipswich, Australia, seeks a Lead Finance to steer the finance function from the executive level. You will own financial strategy, governance, reporting and capital raising, while building scalable systems for a fast-growing aerospace company.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive international expansion, and provide clear financial guidance to the CEO, Board and stakeholders. Expect a demanding, impact-driven environment with equity participation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post-qualification as CFO, Finance Director or senior finance executive.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on capital raising experience in a high-growth business.
• Experience establishing operations across multiple jurisdictions (US, UK/Europe).
• Scale Australian business from 70 to 200+ employees.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and treasury capability.
• Ability to provide clear commercial advice to technical teams and Board.
• Experience leading Board/Audit & Risk Committee reporting and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long-range modelling.
• Lead financial governance, compliance and reporting across regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate capital raising rounds with investors and manage cap table.
• Oversee international expansion, overseas entities and local compliance.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team and partner on workforce planning.
• Deliver weekly cash-flow reporting and consolidated annual statements.
• Oversee annual operating plan, P&L, month-end close and tax compliance.
