Job summary

JMES is partnering with a high-growth Australian biotechnology business seeking a CFO to drive strategic finance, governance and scalable systems as the company expands internationally.

Reporting to the CEO and working with founders and the Board, the CFO will shape capital allocation, pursue M&A opportunities, manage investor relations, and build a robust finance function to support ongoing growth across diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Experience as CFO or senior financial leader in high-growth tech/biotech.
• Experience with international expansion and partnerships.
• Strong governance and reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CEO and Board on strategic planning and capital allocation.
• Support international expansion, including partnerships and distribution arrangements.
• Lead financial evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities.
• Provide commercial insight into pricing, margins, profitability and investment decisions.
• Manage financial reporting, governance, capital markets and investor relations.
• Develop scalable financial systems, processes and controls to support growth.
• Lead and develop the finance function as the business expands.
