Job summary

APA Group is recruiting an Access and Approvals Lead in Perth, WA, reporting to the Planning and Environment Manager. You will drive planning, environmental, heritage and regulatory approvals, negotiate with Traditional Owners and stakeholders, and support project development from early stage through execution.

You will work across a diverse project portfolio, balancing environmental, social and commercial considerations while ensuring risk is managed and approvals are aligned with project

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading environmental, planning, heritage or approvals activities for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory approval frameworks and risk management.
• Experience negotiating with government agencies, regulators and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead approvals strategies and pathways for major infrastructure projects.
• Manage planning and environmental approvals integrated into scope, schedule, cost and risk.
• Lead engagement and negotiations with government agencies and regulators.
• Identify and manage approvals risks during project development.
• Procure and manage external consultants and internal subject matter experts.
• Establish governance, compliance and assurance for approvals activities.
