Globe 24-7 is seeking a Principal Environmental Approvals Advisor to lead environmental approvals and permitting across various mining and infrastructure projects in Perth. This role requires over 10 years of experience in environmental approvals and a strong understanding of WA processes.

You will develop strategies, engage with regulators, and ensure project milestones are achieved, offering significant ownership and influence in a growing mining company.

Principal Environmental Approvals Advisor

Perth | Mining & Resources | Project Development

Are you an environmental approvals professional who enjoys being involved in projects from concept through to execution?

We are partnering with a growing mining company that is entering a significant phase of project development and expansion across Western Australia. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping approvals strategies across a portfolio of operational and development assets while working closely with technical, operational and leadership teams.

This is not a compliance-focused role. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex approvals challenges, influencing project outcomes and driving permitting pathways that enable project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead environmental approvals and permitting activities across multiple mining and infrastructure projects.
• Develop approvals strategies and manage regulatory pathways at both State and Federal levels.
• Coordinate environmental studies, specialist consultants and supporting technical workstreams.
• Engage with regulators, government agencies and key stakeholders.
• Support project teams through feasibility, development and operational phases.
• Manage approvals schedules, risks and budgets to ensure key project milestones are achieved.
• Provide environmental and approvals advice to senior leadership and project teams.

About You

• 10+ years' experience in environmental approvals, permitting or environmental planning.
• Strong understanding of WA environmental approvals processes.
• Experience working within mining, resources, infrastructure or environmental consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex approvals programs and multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of heritage, land access, tenure or related approvals processes will be highly regarded.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.
