Job summary

Urban Utilities is seeking a Project Manager to plan and deliver the sewer treatment plant maintenance program across our treatment plants in South East Queensland. You will manage delivery partners, monitor schedules and budgets, and escalate issues to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical infrastructure.

You will also lead minor capital projects and programs, working within Maintenance Services to coordinate with Operations, Asset Management, Health and Safety and Capital Delivery,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience in a heavily regulated industry with statutory obligations.
• Degree in project management or equivalent demonstrated experience delivering projects or programs on time and to budget.
• Systematic approach to risk and a commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee STP maintenance by delivery partners, ensuring compliance with processes, KPIs and standards.
• Monitor maintenance schedules, deliverables and defect rectification; act as escalation point.
• Lean in to support STPs with special activities (e.g., yearly CAMBI shutdown).
• Track program performance, budget and expenditure; report trends, risks and improvements to stakeholders.
• Apply assurance and audit frameworks to maintenance activity; drive corrective action with the delivery partner.
