Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Stormwater Investigations Engineer to join the Environment & Resilience team on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week).

You will assess stormwater and flooding enquiries, deliver minor renewal projects, and provide technical advice to residents and stakeholders, with a strong focus on community outcomes.

  • Manage the delivery of minor stormwater renewal, maintenance and improvement projects from investigation through to completion.
  • Provide timely and reliable technical advice on stormwater and flood-related matters to support Council, residents and other stakeholders.

Job description

Title: Stormwater Investigations Engineer,Permanent - Full-time Role, 35hours per week

Salary Range: $115,927.66 to $134,726.96 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience) + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

The Environment & Resilience Business Unit manages complex environmental and engineering programs and projects to achieve quality outcomes for the residents and the environment of the Northern Beaches. The Business Unit delivers the strategic and operational management of:

  • Bushland and biodiversity protection and restoration including threatened species and pest species management and the control of bush fire risk
  • Catchment, waterway and coastal management including ecological, risk and restoration programs
  • Strategic environmental systems & programs, climate change adaptation/resilience and corporate sustainability
  • Environmental education, volunteering and engagement
  • Development Engineering including subdivision works, development approvals, and certification of development works
  • Stormwater asset maintenance, renewals and design and construction of new assets
  • Floodplain risk planning and management.
