Lismore City Council is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead planning, prioritisation and delivery of urban stormwater programs that support sustainable growth and resilience in the region.
You will develop forward works programs, extend catchment modelling, manage budgets, pursue grant funding, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. A Civil Engineering degree, professional membership, White Card and a valid driver’s licence are required.

As the Senior Drainage Engineer, you will lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of critical drainage and urban stormwater programs that support sustainable growth, protect community assets and enhance service outcomes. 70 hours per fortnight
From $112,903 to $129,838 per annum + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + superannuation.
Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
Prior to employment, there will be a series of pre-employment checks that may include health assessments (such as functional fitness, audio, drug testing), validation of right to work in Australia, validation of qualifications and licences, criminal history checks, psychometric assessments and referee checks.
Council has an immunisation program to provide employees with vaccinations against known health risks associated with their respective duties and to identify any exposure to products that may affect an employee's health, fitness and wellbeing. This position has been identified as a risk to the employee and as such the successful applicant/s will be required to participate in the immunisation program and it is the applicant's responsibility to have undertaken relevant immunisation/s prior to commencement with Council.
