Job summary

Jory's Plastics Moulding in Geebung, Brisbane, is hiring a permanent, full‑time hands‑on role to assist with tool setting, machine operations and warehousing tasks. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will support mould setups, parts packing, despatch, and forklift movements while upholding safety and quality. Previous plastic injection moulding is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastic injection moulding or machine operation is highly preferred but not essential.
• Basic storeperson experience, including manual packing, order preparation or despatch support.
• Current High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) is required.
• Physically fit for manual handling; punctual, detail-oriented and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operations & Tool Setting: Assist with mould setups, tool changes, process monitoring, and running high-volume production jobs.
• Storeperson & Packing Duties: Inspect finished parts, manually assemble components, and pack orders securely for shipping.
• Despatch & Receiving: Handle incoming materials and prepare outgoing freight, maintaining organised workshop storage.
• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, moulds, finished products, and palletised stock across the facility.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment adhering to WHS standards.

Job description

In this versatile, hands‑on role, you will assist with tool setting, machine operations, and warehousing tasks. While prior plastic injection moulding experience is preferred, we are willing to train and upskill the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, technical aptitude, and enthusiasm to learn.

Key responsibilities

Machine Operations & Tool Setting: Assist with mould setups, tool changes, process monitoring, and running high-volume production jobs (training provided as needed)
