Job summary

Southern Steel QLD in Townsville is seeking a Storeperson for the Afternoon shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm). You will be responsible for warehousing and distribution of steel products, ensuring accurate picking, packing and safe handling using forklifts and cranes.

The role requires prior warehouse experience, a forklift license (preferred) and perhaps a crane license. You should be physically fit, a good communicator and a reliable team player dedicated to safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is highly valued.
• Forklift license is preferred.
• Crane license or experience with overhead gantry cranes is preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a high-energy environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
• A strong team player who can also work independently when required.
