Job summary

Rum City Foods is seeking a reliable Warehouse Storeperson (Picker / Packer / Loader) for its Bundaberg operation. The role runs Monday to Friday with no weekend work, including duties from picking/packing to loading and stock control.

Applicants should have a current forklift licence, experience with voice picking or RF scanners, and be physically fit for repetitive lifting. Cold room experience is a plus and random drug testing may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and accurate with good attention to detail.
• Physically fit due to repetitive manual lifting.

Responsibilities

• Pick & pack customer orders accurately using paper or Voice Picking headsets / scanners.
• Load trucks to ensure deliveries are complete and on time.
• Assist with receiving stock and placing it in the correct location.
• Rotate stock and check used by dates regularly.
• Maintain HACCP/FSQ standards and WHS practices.
• Clean and maintain depot equipment and facilities.

Warehouse Storeperson - Picker / Packer / Loader

Rum City Foods is a local, family owned and operated foodservice distributor with depots in Bundaberg, Maryborough, Gladstone and Rockhampton. Continued growth means we need more staff to join our team at our Head Office in Bundaberg.

We are looking for reliable, energetic and hardworking individuals to join our team as a full-time Warehouse Storeperson (Picker / Packer / Loader) working Monday to Friday - no weekend work.

Current Forklift Licence is a mandatory requirement. Immediate start available.

Your duties will include but aren't limited to:

Pick & pack customer orders accurately either paper-based or using Voice Picking headsets / scanners - Aim to achieve 100% accuracy KPIs

Load trucks in a timely manner to ensure all customers receive deliveries in full and on time whilst following the correct processes

Assist with managing incoming stock and ensure that stock is placed in the correct location

Assist with stock replenishment daily, rotate stock regularly and check Used by Dates constantly

Ensure stock receipt, temperature checks and Compliance HACCP logs are completed accurately and in a timely manner

Cleaning, operating and maintaining equipment / depot

Handle products with due care at all times

Maintain good communication and a good working relationship with all co-workers

Maintain HACCP & FSQ (Food Safety Quality) standards

Maintain WHS safe and healthy work practices

Ensure all company equipment and facilities are correctly maintained

Skills and experience:

Current Forklift Licence is a mandatory requirement

Ideally you will have picking/packing experience both paper-based and using Voice Picking headsets / RF scanners

Prior experience working in a Cold Room is an advantage

To be reliable

Possess a high level of accuracy with attention to detail

Candidates should be physically fit as there is repetitive manual lifting involved in performing this role

A good work ethic, who values honesty

Able to move quickly as our warehouse is fast paced

Applicants must be willing to undergo random drug / alcohol testing as per RCF Policy and complete a Police Clearance if required.
