Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Meadowbrook team. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts to move goods, unload and load vehicles, and support receipting and stock control in a busy warehouse.

Current LF forklift ticket is essential. You will work on an ongoing basis with no weekend shifts, earning around $36 per hour plus penalties.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift ticket is essential.
• Experience operating forklifts in fast-paced manufacturing or logistics.
• Experience with RF scanners or ERP/EPICOR is a bonus.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to process.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
• Assist receipting of incoming goods and verify POs.
• Perform cycle counting and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete pick-and-pack and prepare customer orders to meet deadlines.
• Ensure outgoing goods meet client requirements and complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per site plans.
• Adhere to all OHS policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth workflow.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials across the warehouse. You will play a crucial, hands-on part in daily operations, ensuring that receipting, general warehousing, and dispatch targets are met efficiently while maintaining strict inventory integrity and safety standards.

Key Duties:

• Safely operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
• Efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
• Assist with the receipting of incoming goods, including checking for damages and verifying purchase orders (POs).
• Perform accurate cycle counting and assist in maintaining an organized stores inventory.
• Complete pick-and-pack activities and prepare customer orders to meet strict delivery deadlines.
• Ensure all outgoing goods meet client requirements, including basic quality inspections and completing accompanying documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by adhering to site maintenance and housekeeping plans.
• Strictly adhere to all OHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with the broader warehouse team to ensure smooth operational workflow.

What We're Looking For:

• Current and valid LF Forklift ticket is essential.
• Proven experience operating forklifts within a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Experience utilizing RF scanners or basic Warehouse Management Systems (ERP/EPICOR experience is a bonus).
• Well-developed safety awareness and a strong orientation to process.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in manual handling and inventory management.
